Tillman Military Scholar Program Opened Monday, February 13

On Monday, February 13, the Pat Tillman Foundation began taking applications for the Tillman Military Scholar Program. Applications will be accepted until March 16th.

In 2002, Pat Tillman left his NFL career and turned down a multi-million dollar contract with the Arizona Cardinals to enlist and serve his country as an Army Ranger in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks. A role model of courage and patriotism, he served several combat tours, but was killed in a firefight in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004.

The mission of the Pat Tillman Foundation is to invest in Veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships and building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others. The Military Scholar Program offers financial assistance to Servicemembers, Veterans, and their spouses to cover academic and/or living expenses while in school. You must pursue an undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degree as a full-time student at a public or private, 4-year U.S.-based accredited institution to qualify.

For more information on application and eligibility requirements please go to The Pat Tillman Foundation.
